- Summary: Electors in the Caribbean nation of Trinidad and Tobago voted in 201 elections to decide the composition of the country’s 41-seat House of Representatives. - Thoughts/emotions/observations : This article mention how close the voting results would be which I found pretty startling. I think they said about 10 constituents would make the difference. The countries previous parliament had approved a constitutional change that will allow for a runoff vote in constituencies where no candidate receives 51 percent of votes, and I agreed with a commenter who said it was not the time to be changing how the government works. The next government elected had to produce a budget 50 days later which is a short amount of time.
