The x-axis of this graph is the average number of years of education that women of child bearing age while and the y-axis of this graph is the number of children per woman of child bearing age. Both of this label were chosen because school of woman does correlate with the amount of children that they bear. Women with more education on average have less children than woman with more education. Because women in Trinidad and Tobago receive about 12 years of education on average, they only have about 2 children each, on average.

Demographic Transition Model
Trinidad and Tobago is currently in stage 4 of the Demographic Transition Model, this stage is characterized by low birth rates and low death rates. Countries in stage 4 are normally more developed countries that have low have low birth rates due to the education and high status of woman. The chart above shows that women in this country on average receive about 12 years of education, which is very high compared to most countries. High years of education for women correlates with low birth rates. This country must also have good access to health care since many people in the population are above the age of 60. Trinidad and Tobago is a high developed country and stage 4 of the demographic transition model is very common for countries like this.
